BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care (2022) Component 1 - a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what the content for B1. Life Events; Lifes Circumstances and B2. Support that goes with the life events and an individuals disposition and outlook.
If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 16, this now relates to PSA Task 3a (Life Event PIES) and 3b (Support) . There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There are activities aimed at building up student notes to have with them in the PSA and capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment. There is the continued literacy support with useful vocabulary, again and a case study example PIES.
There’s a 42 slide presentation covering all aspects surrounding life events and looking at both the positive and negative impact on PIES. There are lots of activities to get students thinking about the B1 and B2 words in the spec using a flow chart bringing ideas together.

A 21 page booklet covering the content of the BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care Unit 5 Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs content for Learning AIm B; B1 and B2. It is a word document which can be added to or altered to suit your teaching style. This package is for teachers delivering the new 2022 spec for BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care Component 2.
For teachers following my SoW, this is for week 28 after the completion of Component 1.
It has two presentations, one is 24 slides and covers physical barriers and ways to overcome those as per PSA Task 3, with applied examples. The second is 23 slides and covers Sensory Barriers. There is guidance and options for students note taking which will be a source of reference in the PSA.
Students will be expected to know a range of potential barriers but the focus is on physical and sensory in the spec below and be able to recognise which barrier(s)apply and the most suitable ways to overcome these, for the PSA case study person with a health condition or social care circumstances. Throughout there is reference to different services from A2.
Included is a mock exam to give a guided opportunity to have a go at task 1.
Homework is set as the case studies they do not cover in the lesson so they have the full range from the spec.

T-Level Health Year 2 Occupational Specialism Assessment Supporting Adult Nursing Activity to guide students about the importance of building a detailed reflective portfolio using the Gibbs Reflective cycle.
Advice for students;
When building your reflective portfolio note the themes and the K&S points clearly at the top.
Collate these into an order you will understand, perhaps using folder dividers. This clear labeling will speed up finding and referring to them in your Assignment 3, you have only 45 minutes to prepare.
Relate aspects of the reflection to things like a specific part of the NMC code, the CQC 5 fundamental standards, legislation, policy and the 6C’s.

NEW SPEC T-Level Health 2024-2025 complete pick-up-and-run teaching package, if you are following my SoW this is for weeks beginning 28th October 2024.
Included is a 174 slide PowerPoint with pause points, embedded videos, exam question practice and activities. There is also a 46-page student booklet for student notes, activities and exam practice questions. A teachers booklet makes delivery easier as you have all the prompts and answers to hand.
An end of topic is set for 1.5 hour and is a 60-mark mock exam with an easy to follow mark scheme which allows for peer marking.
